The SCEC professional team consists of veterinarians, scientists and veterinary nurses, supported by a highly proficient administrative team, offering depth and breadth of experience and knowledge across a broad spectrum of animal health industry issues.

FACILITIES

·           Equine

Our core herd is located in western Sydney.  Additional horses or ponies are easily acquired at short notice, and foal studies are also possible. Locations in Australia and New Zealand are utilised depending on trial requirement.

·           Small Animal

SCEC has over 180 dogs of various breeds and ages (including puppies and pregnant bitches) available for use in trials year round.

·           Production animal

SCEC have numerous properties and grazier contacts in NSW and WA with commercial flocks available for on-farm trials. The location of farms offers the geographical variation and distribution required for registration of many production animal veterinary products. In addition SCEC run sheep on two small private properties in Taralga, NSW and Mulgoa, NSW, both equipped with sheep yards for small scale sheep trials.

·           Disease-based Clinical trials (Phase II & III Trials)

We have excellent working relationships with many large and small animal practices both in Australia and internationally, enabling us to efficiently and quickly complete equine and small animal disease-based clinical case trials.
